We are very pleased to announce that Andrea Kayne, an educational leadership expert from DePaul University, is joining Otus as a senior advisor. In this role, she will be working to promote Otus across a variety of strategic initiatives, both nationally and internationally.
Andrea currently serves as Director of the Doctoral Program in Education Leadership at DePaul University College of Education. She has been educating, mentoring, and consulting on how to excel as superintendents and principals for 20 years, and has taught leadership and professional development around the world. She has a background in both law and education, holding a Master of Education degree from Harvard University and a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
Andrea has been a champion of the Otus platform and has already incorporated Otus into a number of exciting education initiatives. In her new capacity, she will be leading programs to promote equity in education, use of student data in positive ways, understanding of the whole child, and creating data collaborative cultures of continuous improvement. She will also be exploring ways in which Otus can benefit new communities, including both international school systems and programs outside the traditional education field.

Otus was recently named a finalist in the 2018 SIIA CODiE Awards, in the category of “Best Student Assessment Solution.” The company is rolling out a variety of enhancements this year, including a standards-based grading report card, which will be released this summer.
