The Otus Community Summit is a new annual event designed to bring district leaders and instructional teams together for meaningful collaboration, idea sharing, and hands-on learning.

Cost

Otus will cover the following costs for one participant per district:

  • One (1) night stay at Le Méridien on Wednesday, October 21

  • Meals and snacks throughout the event

  • Event materials and programming

If you’d like to send additional participants from your district, the cost will be $500 per person.

All participants need to arrange and purchase their own travel.

What is included in the registration?

One night’s stay at Le Méridien, all scheduled events, breakout sessions, and the following meals:

What is the networking social?

It involves good food, good people, and a chance to actually enjoy the company you're in. Details coming soon, but trust us, you'll want to be there for it!

Can I bring additional people from my district?

Yes! Each district registration includes one educator. Additional participants from the same district are welcome for $500 per person.

What if someone registers but can't make it at the last minute?

If you’re no longer able to attend, please reach out to hillary@otus.com. If you’d like to transfer your registration, registrations are transferable within the same district. Just send us the updated attendee name and email; we'll handle the rest.

Are meals included?

Yes. Otus is providing food, drinks, and snacks throughout the event. You won't need to worry about a thing.

What if I have a food allergy or dietary restriction?

We want everyone to eat well and feel cared for. When you register, you'll have a chance to share any allergies or dietary needs. If something comes up after you register, email hillary@otus.com, and we'll make sure you're covered.

What is the Summit dress code?

Dress however you feel most comfortable and yourself! Whether that’s business casual or casual, wear what you feel best in.

Pro tip: Meeting rooms tend to be chilly, so we suggest bringing a blazer, sweater, or light jacket to stay comfortable throughout the day.

Recommended arrival and departure dates

It is recommended that participants arrive by 12:00 PM on Wednesday, October 21. Attendees are encouraged to stay through 2:00 PM on Thursday, October 22.

What is the best airport to fly into?

If you're flying, Midway is about 27 minutes away, and O'Hare is about 18 minutes. Both airports have easy cab and rideshare access straight to the hotel.

Is parking available?

Yes, free parking is available at the Le Méridien.

Do I need a rental car?

Nope. A cab or rideshare from either airport drops you right at the hotel. No rental needed.

What time is check-in and check-out? Can we request a late check-out?

Check-in time is 4:00 PM. Check-out time is 11:00 AM. Early check-in and late check-out requests are subject to availability.
